PixelHue is a browser extension designed to capture and analyze colors from the currently visible webpage.

PixelHue does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

Screen Capture Usage

The extension uses Chrome's captureVisibleTab API exclusively to allow users to select colors from the visible portion of a webpage.

• The captured image is processed locally inside the browser.
• No image data is stored permanently.
• No image data is transmitted externally.
• No data is shared with third parties.

Permissions

The extension uses the following permissions:

• activeTab – interact with the active webpage when user activates the extension.
• tabs – required for screen capture functionality.
• scripting – temporary script injection for color selection.
• <all_urls> – allows color capture on any website.

Data Security

All processing occurs locally within the user's browser. PixelHue does not collect analytics, tracking data, or personal information.
